Children\u2019s Aikido class 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enrolments for the kids class are closed, as the class is full.<\/p>\n

General<\/span><\/p>\n

Girls – this is the martial art for you (boys too of course) !!!<\/p>\n

This weekly class will run from 4:30pm \u2013 5:20pm every Thursday during school term and is open for all children aged from 8 \u2013 12 years.<\/p>\n

The class is run by senior instructors Liam and Kevin.<\/p>\n

Through practice of\u00a0the non-fighting Japanese martial art Aikido, children learn how to cooperate and resolve conflict harmoniously. They build self-esteem and confidence while getting exercise and learning a good way to defend themselves.<\/p>\n

The initial focus is learning the basics of posture, movement and break falling \u2013 a really fun thing for all ages.<\/p>\n

The dojo (training room) is at the \u014ctautahi Community Dojo, cnr Truscotts and Martindales Roads, Heathcote.<\/p>\n
